Recently i saw an article published by Sasol a company specilizing in coal Liquefaction (CTL)- This is a technology which extracts Oil from the coal. Our government has rejected an idea proposed by Tata and Sasol tie up to establish a unit capable of producting 80,000 barrels / day.
When we have such a big problem with current fuel availability why are we not supporting such technology, is it just because of CO2 emission or is there some other reasons. We are one day going to go for technology like this why not now ?
